Welcome to the Hungarian Genealogical Society of Greater Cleveland!
|
The purpose of the Society shall be to promote and encourage genealogical research into the ancestry of those whose roots are in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Historical Hungary. We foster education through lectures, workshops, seminars, field trips, and maintaining a speaker's bureau. We share information from individual research in terms of results and methods of obtaining same. We reach out to the community of those people whose ancestors came from Eastern Europe to find common origins and answers. Our goal is to preserve the fruits of these efforts by encouraging publication and the recording of them into computer databases. |
